When obstacles are presented to you how do you overcome them?

This morning Epstein Chiropractic was presented with a few unforseen obstacles that inhibited our office to accept patients.  We  arrived this morning to find that our office was without power.  PECO had notified us of the outage and explained that we would be without power for a couple of hours.  As is routine in our office, we always prepare for the next day and were able to read the print out of our schedule to notify patients of our issue.  Our patients were extremely understanding of our situation and made the appropriate arrangements to reschedule their adjustments so they would not interrupt their care plan.

This morning made me think of the many offices that might have been ill prepared to adjust their schedule due to the lack of preparation the day before.  It also made me ponder how we must prepare ourselves for the challenges that may present themselves to our health.  We must take this example to apply it to our lives...are we proactive to bettering our health or are we reactive to the challenges that present to us?

Chiropractic is about being proactive in our lives so we can prepare our bodies to overcome any obstacles that may come our way.   Of course chiropractic helps to alleviate many ailments that pop up, but how much better would we be as a society if we all prepared our bodies before the 'fire' blazes?
